I talked to my mentor Roger today about some life decisions and he gave me some good advice/contacts. I'm still hoping to get a shot at being an art director. Since there are so few creative jobs left now a days I'm considering continued education as a back up. Beats sitting on my hands till the industry picks up again. I'm going to try and reach out to some folks at some local agencies that Roger recommended. Hopefully they'll be willing to give some good advice.

I'm a Texas artist who dreams of working in the world of advertising. I use to work for a small firm but they went under due to these harsh times. I freelance from home but I long to work in an advertising firm again. I'm a jack of all trades when it comes to advertising. However my passion is in creative. I've got the degrees and I've got the skills. I just need a break.

I keep a sketch book close by because I spew out ideas. It even effects my sleeping patterns. There are several times where I wake up in the middle of the night with the perfect idea. Only nowadays I have no one to give it to.
